The intention is that they are to be accessed by liaisons in order to create realistic, manageable student owned CLP projects - the ruMAD site has the 8 keys to madness which is of particular help. In order to access the 8 keys to madness, teachers or facilitators need to register and then access TOOLKIT.

CLP Projects - Term 2A 2013

During this term, the following Community Learning Projects (CLP) related to their home communities will be undertaken by each of the School Teams:

  • Melton Secondary College – Raising money the Melton Specialist School
  • Beechworth Secondary College – Bus Shelters for local students & Creating a bench set for local community members (2 CLPs)
  • Castlemaine Secondary College – Developing a guide to consumerism
  • Myrtleford P-12 College – Creating a booklet to support young people
  • Rosehill Secondary College – Raise money and awareness for endangered animals
  • Maribyrnong Secondary College – Helping the homeless via a soup kitchen and care packages
  • Rutherglen High School – Promoting the Rail Trail in Rutherglen
  • Braybrook College – Raising money for a local charity
  • Wanganui Secondary College – Creating more frequent, convenient and enjoyable community BBQs at our school

School For Student Leadership

School for Student Leadership is a Victorian Department of Education and Training (DET) initiative offering a unique residential education experience for year nine students. The curriculum focuses on personal development and team learning projects sourced from students' home regions. There are four campuses in iconic locations across Victoria. The Alpine School Campus is located at Dinner Plain in the Victorian Alps. Snowy River Campus is near the mouth of the Snowy River at Marlo in east Gippsland. The third site is adjacent to Mount Noorat near Camperdown in Victoria’s Western District, and is called Gnurad-Gundidj. After consultation with the local aboriginal community, this name represents both the indigenous name of the local area and an interpretation of the statement "belonging to this place". Our fourth and newest campus, Don Valley Campus is located at Don Valley in the Yarra Ranges.
