Student evacuation plans in response to current fires in the Alpine area

Dear Families,

Due to the current proximity of the Mayford/Tuckalong fire and the unpredictable nature of fires in the Alpine Area the decision has been made in consultation with the Education Department to evacuate students from the school.

We have booked a bus to depart in the morning to transport students back to their families.

These will be the drop off destinations: (times are approx. as waiting confirmation of bus arrival to Dinner Plain)

  • 12pm Beechworth Secondary College
  • 3pm Euroa Secondary College ( (Numurkah/ Nathalia)
  • 6pm Kew High School (Canterbury Girls, Ashwood, Brentwood)

The drop off times are estimated on an 11am departure. We will endeavour to put updates on our facebook and uEducateus as the times become clearer during travel.

We appreciate your understanding and flexibility during this time. Please refrain from calling the school as they are busy packing and getting ready to depart in the morning.

Return to Alpine

Our aim will be to have students return on Sunday 10th March at the end of the visiting weekend by 4pm. We will let you know if this changes via Facebook and uEducateus. Mother Nature will have her say in this.
