Kerry LeclercOffice Manager

I began working at the Alpine School in 2020 and am very grateful to be part of such a great and supportive team. It is a privilege to work in such a unique environment and a privilege to see the growth and development of the students as they navigate through the program.

My professional background is nursing, which has been my career for over 25 years. I wanted to do something different, so began to work as the Office Manager at the Alpine School. I still work casually as a nurse to “keep my hand in”.

My husband and I moved to Cobungra in 2017 from the Mornington Peninsula. I have lived by the sea all of my life, so moving to the mountains has been a huge adjustment. I have come to appreciate the different “moods” of the Alpine environment and have grown to love the distinct changing seasons. I love all things outdoors and love living on a small acreage of land where we can have a few animals. We have 2 goats, 3 dogs and lots of chickens. We hope in the future that we can add to our furry family. In my spare time I love to go camping, hiking, being at the beach, swimming and spending time with my family.

School For Student Leadership

School for Student Leadership is a Victorian Department of Education and Training (DET) initiative offering a unique residential education experience for year nine students. The curriculum focuses on personal development and team learning projects sourced from students' home regions. There are four campuses in iconic locations across Victoria. The Alpine School Campus is located at Dinner Plain in the Victorian Alps. Snowy River Campus is near the mouth of the Snowy River at Marlo in east Gippsland. The third site is adjacent to Mount Noorat near Camperdown in Victoria’s Western District, and is called Gnurad-Gundidj. After consultation with the local aboriginal community, this name represents both the indigenous name of the local area and an interpretation of the statement "belonging to this place". Our fourth and newest campus, Don Valley Campus is located at Don Valley in the Yarra Ranges.
