CLP Resources

It is recommended that Home School Liaison Teachers visit the following websites:

The intention is that they are to be accessed by liaisons in order to create realistic, manageable student owned CLP projects - the ruMAD site has the 8 keys to madness which is of particular help. In order to access the 8 keys to madness, teachers or facilitators need to register and then access TOOLKIT.

Small Teams Achieve Success

Teenagers in Emergencies Booklet

These pages show the front and back cover of a 32 page booklet that a team of students produced for their Community Learning Project. The team of Jess, Sam, Tim and Amy are from Maffra Secondary College and were at the Alpine School in Term 2, 2008.

Teenagers in EmergenciesTeenagers in Emergencies

The booklet has only recently been launched and focuses specifically on how teenagers can Plan-Act-Respond specifically during emergencies such as fires and floods. It is an invaluable resource and is gaining more recognition each day.

The success of the booklet has extended to interviews, presentations and appropriate accolades for the team. School and families continue to be rewarded with pride as the efforts and outcomes of a small team continues to achieve great success.

School For Student Leadership

School for Student Leadership is a Victorian Department of Education and Training (DET) initiative offering a unique residential education experience for year nine students. The curriculum focuses on personal development and team learning projects sourced from students' home regions. There are four campuses in iconic locations across Victoria. The Alpine School Campus is located at Dinner Plain in the Victorian Alps. Snowy River Campus is near the mouth of the Snowy River at Marlo in east Gippsland. The third site is adjacent to Mount Noorat near Camperdown in Victoria’s Western District, and is called Gnurad-Gundidj. After consultation with the local aboriginal community, this name represents both the indigenous name of the local area and an interpretation of the statement "belonging to this place". Our fourth and newest campus, Don Valley Campus is located at Don Valley in the Yarra Ranges.
